| Miss Atkins is one of the 6th
grade Reading
and Language Arts teachers at West Hernando Middle School.
She provides this website in the hope that she is building an
environment online where students can and DO learn by
1 keeping parents and students informed about assignments and special activities, 2 making quality learning materials available on-line to students and other educators, 3 showcasing student projects. She uses a combination of Holt Literature, Accelerated Reader, Project Read, CRISS Strategies, Technology, and authentic projects to increase vocabulary and comprehension.
