What is the Hernando County Council PTA or HCCPTA?

The Council is the entity that helps the local units. It is a means of communication between the local units, State and National PTA. The Council is also an educational means for the local units. Workshops and training are available for all members. The Councils organized under the authority of the State PTA for the purpose of conference, leadership training and coordination of the efforts of the local units.

The Council also manages the Hernando County Council PTA Help Line. This is a help line for parents, community members and students to use for various reasons. It is an information line and if the information is not available immediately, HCCPTA will get the answer and get back to the caller. The number for this is 797-7270.

Each local unit may be part of the Hernando County Council PTA. Annual dues are $25 and this is for the entire local unit.
